4th of July

We started the day off at Brueggers a local bagel shop. We usually go on Saturday mornings but we haven’t been able to go the last month or so. Maya loves to go to the counter and get a sticker.

On the way home we came across this in someone’s front yard. Wow! These people really love the lawn decorations.

Below are the only 4th of July decorations we have at our house. Maya made them in one of her summer preschool classes. Notice the flag is backwards but that’s how she wanted to make it.

This afternoon we went to a BBQ and had a great time! Maya was able to play with some of her friends and we were able to enjoy some fine quality food and fellowship - as Joel would say.

Playing in the pool. Maya loved that it had a slide into the water! The other kiddos were playing in the sprinkler right next to her but she wasn't so sure about that. She preferred the pool.

Getting ready to go down the big slide.

Lots of time was spent in the cozy coupe!

First freezie pop and Grant was showing her how to eat it. Most of it ended up on her shirt.

It was a crazy hot afternoon/evening but we had a fun time hanging out!

  1. Should we be concerned about her patriotism with the backwards flag? ;)

    1. Perhaps but lets wait a few years and see how she does.
