Texas T-giving Part 3 - Cousins

Maya had such a great time playing with cousin Shealy. We could really tell a difference in how well they played together this trip over last year and even this summer. Maya is obviously getting older and able to talk and play better with older kids now. Their favorite thing to do all weekend was "jump" on a hide a bed mattress that Shealy slept on in her parents room. They would turn on a CD of "The wheels on the bus" and just go to town. It was hilarious but unfortunately we didn't get any pictures of it. Bummer. Maya just asked this morning if she could "jump." I'm surprised she waited this long to ask about it.

The girls also had fun playing outside in Shealy's little play house.
Here they are painting and cleaning.

And there was pool time. Obviously it was too chilly to get in the big pool but uncle Eric warmed up the hot tub and they were able to play around in there for a little bit one afternoon. What a treat! Maya loves to swim! (And the adults enjoyed it once the kiddos went to bed so it was a treat for us too.)
This pretty much sums up their time together...Maya looking up to Shealy! She wanted to do everything her cousin was doing.
Sweet Cousins

Our last day we went to feed some ducks and play at a park. I thought Maya would totally be into feeding the ducks but she was way more interested in playing at the park.
She loves the park!

We had a wonderful time in Texas! We were sad to leave not just because the weather was warm and sunny the whole time but we love spending time with our family there. It's times like these that we cherish and it sure makes us wish we didn't live so far from each other!
