Four year doctor appointment

Maya had her four year old doctor appointment last week. She did fantastic! She weighs 35.6 lbs which is around  50% of what other four year olds weigh. She is 37 3/4 inches tall which is at 12%. She definitely is shorter than all her classmates at school but what she lacks in height she makes up for in other ways. She is one smart lady! She remembers anything and everything you tell her. She knows her letters of the alphabet and can write her name and Cora's name which she is very proud of. She knows her colors too. Maya loves to sing and dance and play "restaurant," "children & worship," "school," and "grocery store." Her imagination is hilarious and she is always making us laugh with what she comes up with. Maya also enjoys doing anything outside especially riding her bike. The past year has definitely been a huge challenge for us with Maya. However, she did have lots of change happen this year with the arrival of a baby sister, starting school, and changing churches.  We do see growth and maturing happening...slowly. She's a great big sister and wants to always help us with things. Right now if you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she'll say a waitress or a teacher.

Like I said she did great at her check-up. Here she is getting her blood pressure checked. She did get one shot and she didn't even cry! Amazing. She just sat on my lap and took it like a total champ. The nurse was so impressed and gave her two suckers for being so brave. Her tolerance for pain is incredible.
