Field Trip

A few weeks ago Maya was able to go on a special field trip with a few friends from her kindergarten class. Normally the K5 class does not have school on Fridays but they have a special "enrichment" day for kids if they want to go on Fridays. We have chosen not to do Fridays but Maya asked if she could do this special field trip and so she had to "earn" it. It worked wonders! We need to start having things for her to "earn" all summer because her behavior was so good the weeks leading up to the field trip it was incredible.

Anyway it was Maya's first bus ride. All of her friends take the bus to and from school and she is always asking why she can't take the bus. So needless to say she was thrilled to take the bus! Thanks to Mrs. Patch we were able to get some pictures of the special day.

They went to Glacier Rock Farms which is about 45 minutes away from school. The kids were able to do all sorts of fun things. They took a hay ride around the farm, were able to chase chickens, and hold and pet lots of animals. It was also probably the best day we've had this spring weather wise. It was sunny and around 80. So great for a field trip to the farm!
It was the first day we put sunscreen on since last summer.
(Not ready for that part of summer)

Maya's favorite part of the trip was being able to ride this little pony. I think she said her name was "Sugar." So fun!
