The week before school started for Maya we went to Chicago to see the new Dykstra house along with Juliana's new dorm room at Trinity and we got to see Emma play volleyball with her new team. What an exciting time! So many new things. I can't believe I have a niece that is a freshman in college and a niece that is a freshman in high school! (And Shealy is in 4th grade, how is that possible too?)
Juliana is doing well in her first few weeks of college. How can she be in college? Seems like I was just moving into my dorm room freshman year. She is playing volleyball and at this point is studying pre-nursing. Although I think most of her classes right now are gen-eds. The girls thought it was pretty neat to go visit Juliana and see her new room at college.

While we were visiting we were able to see Emma play in her first volleyball game for Chicago Christian. She did a great job as their setter and it was so fun to watch her play. Since then all the girls want to do is "play" volleyball.
While we were visiting we also sent Emma off to her first day of high school! So fun and can't believe she's in high school! She hasn't missed a beat and fits right in at her new school and is liking it and doing great. We are thankful things are going well for everyone with all the change and transition. We are also thankful they are now only 2 hours away. We are hoping to get down to see some more volleyball in the near future!
