We did our little family gift opening on Christmas Eve morning before we headed to Chicago.
The girls were up bright and early and excited to open gifts.

New books to read. Each year the girls pick out books for each other as their gift to one another.
Thank you Texas crew for sending gifts for the girls!
We then headed to Chicago and went to Christmas Eve service with the Sikkema side. Afterwards we took a few family pics with everyone before we ate a wonderful prime rib dinner prepared by Aunt Leah and Uncle KK.

Christmas day we had a yummy brunch together before we did a fun gift exchange and opened presents together. We always say we are going to take it easy and there always ends up being so many presents under the tree.

So thankful for my sister!
We had a great few days together during Christmas! It was fun to celebrate for the first time in Chicago and it's so nice the Dykstra's have a new home that is spacious for us all to be together. We are thankful for our wonderful family!
We then headed to Ohio for a few days and unfortunately we didn't take any pics while we were there. We had a fun time there too going out to dinner with Gigi & Snazzy. Gigi took the girls to Sky Zone as part of their Christmas gift and the girls had a blast. They also had fun swimming and staying at the Hampton. The staff there knows us because we have stayed there so many times. Robin at the front desk loves the girls and gave them special treats when we came and when we left. We arrived home in time to ring in the New Year and kept it low key with football and snacks at home.
I can't believe it's 2017! (Ten years ago this month Joel and I met. Crazy!)
We are so blessed and looking forward to seeing what this year holds for us.
