We went to Crane's Apple Farm and did some apple picking. They were all out of our favorite kind - Honeycrisp but they did have plenty of Jonagold which are similar in crunch and sweetness so we picked some of those instead.
Grandpa also took us to a special horse farm near their house. It's a therapy horse farm called Renew Therapeutic Riding Center. It provides horse therapies to children and adults with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities. A wonderful program and non-profit organization.
The girls each got to feed one of the horses a snack.

The last day we were there we went to the Outdoor Discovery Center. I can't believe we haven't ever been there before. The welcome center had lots of taxidermy, live turtles and fish and other sensory exhibits. Maya wasn't too sure of the taxidermy so she didn't want any pictures taken with any of the animals. But Cora was a bit more open to it.
We went on a little nature walk down some trails to an exhibit called "Birds of Prey." We got to see some hawks, owls, eagles, vultures, and falcons.

Then we played on some of the fun outdoor activities they also had there.
The zip line was a favorite for sure!
What a great Fall break we had and we are so thankful to Grandpa and Grandma
for taking us to such fun places.
