Maya has been asking to do volleyball for years. She loves watching her cousins play! There is a Volleyball club called Sting that offers a little youth club and we signed Maya up for the winter session. Several of her friends signed up too and it was a lot of fun for the girls. They had practice on Tuesday nights and then on two Saturdays they played some games. The game that they actually played was called Smashball but this helped to teach the fundamentals of volleyball.

Hoping that Maya gives it a bit more of a chance because after the winter session she said she wasn't sure she liked it. She said she wasn't good at it and could't serve. We've talked with her lots that sports don't just come easy and that you need to practice and work hard at them. We will see what the future holds but for now we are glad that she can add trying volleyball to her list of sports she's tried.
