Our last little road trip before daddy came home last week was a quick trip to Chicago to visit my good friend Rachael and her kiddos. We've been trying to see them since January. But every weekend we tried to see them either her kids were sick, or there was a snow storm, or Maya was sick. But finally we found a time to go see them and both of our husbands were gone on business so it worked out really well for us to get together mid week.
Maya loves playing with her two boys Timmy & Luke. And she hasn't quite gotten the concept that they live 2 hours away and we can't just go play with them when ever she wants. She asks to play with them all the time.
The weather was finally nice out so the kids were able to ride bikes and play outside. Timmy rode his big boy bike and was always way ahead of the little kids. I wasn't able to get a picture of him. He was too fast!
The kids were taking turns watering the plants and I think they were chasing each other a bit too.
Wednesday morning while Timmy was at preschool we made a quick stop at the mall and the kids talked us into a little carousel ride. Maya picked a seal to ride on even though she kept talking about riding a horsey all morning long.
It was a quick trip but it worked out well and we had a fun time!
